Eating Disorder Treatment Programs
Personalized Eating Disorder Treatment for Females
At Selah House, we provide a comprehensive continuum of care that meets each client where they are in their eating disorder recovery journey. From intensive hospitalization to semi-structured, real-world transitional support, our treatment programs are designed to foster lasting healing in a safe, supportive environment.
Every level of care is tailored to the individual, combining evidence-based therapies, nutritional rehabilitation, and compassionate clinical guidance. We specialize in treating women and girls with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, OSFED, and co-occurring mental health conditions — ensuring that no one ever feels alone in their recovery. At Selah House, healing is not just possible — it’s our promise.
Our Levels of Care
Selah offers multiple levels of care, from partial-hospitalization support to full-time residential treatment, and a step-down process for a stable transition into aftercare. All programs are individualized and tailored by our team to meet the unique needs of each client.
Inpatient Treatment Program
Our Inpatient program adapts to the specific needs of each woman and girl at Selah House in order to best lead them to full and lasting recovery. Care is available 24 hours per day regarding medical stabilization, weight restoration, and psychiatric support. A variety of individual and group therapies contribute to improving the overall health and well-being of each client.

Residential Treatment Program
Our residential program provides 24/7 medical and psychiatric supervision. During the day, clients progress through their individualized treatment plans, including group and individual therapy sessions, a wide variety of therapeutic activities such as equine therapy, and comprehensive nutritional support.
Partial Hospitalization Program
The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is our most flexible level of care. It offers an excellent step-down option from a higher level of care or an alternative for clients who require a less intensive level of care than hospitalization.
What We Treat
Anorexia nervosa
Anorexia nervosa is a serious and potentially life-threatening eating disorder marked by extreme food restriction, intense fear of weight gain, and a distorted body image. It often begins with dieting that spirals out of control and can lead to severe physical and emotional complications if left untreated.
Bulimia nervosa
Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder marked by cycles of binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors such as self-induced vomiting, excessive exercise, fasting, or misuse of laxatives. Individuals with bulimia often feel a loss of control during binge episodes and experience intense guilt or shame afterward. Though they may maintain a “normal” weight, bulimia can lead to severe medical complications, including electrolyte imbalances, gastrointestinal issues, and cardiac problems.
Compulsive exercise
Compulsive exercise — sometimes referred to as exercise addiction or anorexia athletica — is a mental health condition marked by an overwhelming urge to exercise, often at the expense of physical health and emotional well-being. While not always tied to an eating disorder, it frequently co-occurs with conditions like anorexia or bulimia, where movement becomes a form of punishment or control rather than wellness.
OSFED
Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED) refers to disordered eating that causes significant distress or impairment but doesn’t fully meet the criteria for anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder. Individuals with OSFED may have a combination of symptoms — such as food restriction, purging, or body image disturbance — that are no less serious or deserving of care.
