Chrissy Hall, LCSW

Network Medical Director

Dr. Tom Scales

Dr. Tom Scales is the Network Medical Director for Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare’s Eating Disorder Network, which includes, Selah House. In his role, Dr. Scale provides psychiatric and medical care to Selah House clients. He is a diplomat in the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Scales completed his undergraduate training at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, followed by medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He completed his residency training in a combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry program at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is passionate about helping those with eating disorders and has made numerous community presentations and local media appearances regarding the topic. Dr. Scales was the radio show host of a live web-based program entitled “Understanding Eating Disorders” which occurred weekly on www.health.voiceamerica.com and featured professionals and laypeople as guests in the eating disorder field. Most importantly, he is a husband and proud father of two children.

Kate Fisch, LCSW, CEDS

Kate brings over 17 years of clinical experience working in the field of eating disorders to the Odyssey Eating Disorder Network. Kate draws on her experience working in all levels of eating disorder treatment and care to inform her dedication to developing and delivering evidence-based and best-practice clinical services. Kate’s extensive knowledge of eating disorders and years of direct client care have also shaped her passion for clinical supervision, support, and development of other mental health clinicians treating individuals with eating disorders.

Kate earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University and her Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.

National Director of Nutrition Programming

Tammy Beasley, MS, RDN, CEDS-C

With over 35 years as a registered dietitian, Tammy Beasley has dedicated her career to eating disorder recovery. She has developed innovative nutrition programs nationwide and was the first RDN certified as an eating disorder specialist (CEDS) by iaedp in 1993. As Certification Director (2013–2017), she was key in securing CEDS certification approval for dietitians. Tammy also co-authored the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Standards of Practice for eating disorder RDNs. In addition to mentoring clinicians and serving as a trusted media resource, she runs a private practice providing individualized client support and professional guidance for organizations. Tammy is passionate about advocating for full recovery through her guiding principle: “Do no shame.”

AVP of Eating Disorder Admissions

Alycia Aldieri, LPC

As the AVP of Eating Disorder Admissions, Alycia works with the Eating Disorder Clinical Partnership Team to provide a responsive, compassionate, and streamlined process for admission into treatment. Her professional experiences include working with both adults and adolescents with co-occurring disorders, primarily in a residential setting. She graduated from Benedictine University’s Master of Science of Clinical Psychology program. She also received her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from East Carolina University, where she received classical vocal training. Alycia’s therapeutic and professional approach derives from her therapeutic work, spiritual beliefs, and12-step principles. She strongly values providing the highest level of integrity, compassion, and ethics when helping families and individuals affected by eating disorders and addiction. She believes living a life of recovery is worth the fight and holds hope that recovery is achievable to anyone willing. Alycia finds peace in being of service to others, and her goal is to ensure a smooth admission process for each client and their loved ones.

Patrick King, PhD, LMFT

Patrick graduated from Purdue University-Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and Indiana Wesleyan University with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2022 Patrick completed his Doctoral degree in General Family Therapy with a focus on supporting families affected by substance use disorders. He has extensive experience as a supervisor and team lead. Patrick also has extensive experience in the field of substance use disorders and community behavioral health. He has also worked with couples, families, and adolescents in a variety of clinical settings. Patrick is currently on the board of directors for the Indiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (IAMFT). He is also a clinical fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Patrick has a passion for helping families, couples, and individuals and brings his extensive clinical experience to his role as clinical director at Selah House.

Milieu Director

Erika Hooten, M. Div

With a strong background in leadership and client-centered care, Erika Hooten brings over a decade of experience in behavioral health. She has served as a Program Director and Director of Operations at substance use disorder facilities in Indiana. Those roles refined her skills in relationship building, critical thinking and implementing best practices in client care. In addition to her administrative skills, Erika is a Chaplain, which reflects her deep commitment to serving others with compassion and empathy. While she is new to the field of eating disorders, she brings with her a heart for service and a commitment to care deeply for each person she encounters.

Erika’s dedication to God’s people and her servant leadership style are evident in both her professional work and her active involvement in the community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana State University and a Master of Divinity degree from Chrisitan Theological Seminary. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree from Indiana University. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Erika is a proud mother of amazing twin boys and a sweet American bully.

Equine Specialist

Marcie Schott

Down at the barn is where you will find the horses, the cats and Marcie. Marcie is the equine specialist at Selah House, she believes in the power of the horses and allows people to be where they are on their own journey and meet them there. Like the horses Marcie doesn’t judge and is accepting. Marcie creates both a physical and emotionally safe place for the clients and the horses. Marcie works with the horses to help others learn about themselves and their strengths so they can find their own solutions. Marcie loves to empower others. Marcie is honest as she shows empathy, kindness, encouragement and is dedicated to helping those with eating disorders and their families. She allows you to feel your feelings and will sit with you in those. When the time is right she tends to make you smile with her clown like antics. Marcie has started many new fashion trends such as capris and cowboy boots, hay in hair and her beloved comfy.

Marcie loves metaphors and has a way of making things relate. Marcie loves to show others life is worth living with comical playfulness and lively interactions which have proven to be very healing. Marcie has some of the best life experiences and will share them with you if you ask her. She is also known for her hugs, even getting an award for them.

Marcie is married and lives in Anderson. She and her husband are blessed to have 7 children, son and daughters in law, and 2 amazing, fun, loving, brilliant, grandchildren 3 dogs and 2 cats. Marcie loves being a Mia and MiMi. She has a zest for life and loves spending time with her family, going to concerts and just music in general, dancing, traveling, learning new things. She also loves spending time on/in water, in nature and with animals, being with friends, laughing, true connections and the Colts.

Director of Nursing

Mary Atkins, RN

Mary graduated in 2006 with an ASN in nursing. She was a nurse in the ER for most of her nursing career, and she worked as a resource nurse for three years. This meant that she could float to any floor in the hospital, but loved critical care, both cardiac and regular ICU. Mary worked as a hospice nurse briefly as well prior to finding Selah House. She was at a crossroad, looking for a meaningful way to effect patients and their families longer than the length of a hospital stay. Selah provided that opportunity for Mary. She won’t say that she’s never had a more fulfilling job because they’ve all been amazing for where she was in that time of her life. Mary will say that she’s never had a more fulfilling job where she knows every single day there are women out there that she’s touched. She enjoys being a part of an amazing team that gives each patient their life back after an eating disorder has taken it away. There’s such a joy in watching the transformation from the first day of treatment until they go home. Mary’s goal for this department is to maintain a safe, rewarding, and loving atmosphere where patients and nurses alike feel a sense of being a part of a team that makes a difference. She wants her nurses to have meaningful interactions with clients that are often difficult to have time for in the hustle of other nursing disciplines.

Stephanie Reagan NP-C

I have been a nurse for 36 years and a nurse practitioner for 25. I graduated from Ball State University with my master’s degree in 1999. Prior to that, I worked as an RN in most critical care areas of nursing. I have worked in various areas, including ER/Trauma, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Mental Health, and Addictions as a nurse practitioner.  

I am married to my best friend. We enjoy golf, traveling, and spending time with our children and grandchildren.  I am excited to work at Selah House with a remarkable team to provide the best care to those who are struggling with eating disorders.

Elaine Allen, PMHNP

Elaine is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, PMHNP. She has been a nurse for 18 years and a PMHNP for 4 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. She then worked in a variety of areas of nursing before finding psychiatry and realizing that she loved helping those with mental health concerns. She then got her master’s in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University and has worked as a PMHNP ever since. Elaine has worked with patients with all types of mental health concerns, including substance use, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She found Selah House and is looking forward to bringing her knowledge of mental health to those with eating disorders and learning about eating disorders as well.

Clinical Supervisor

Breanne Porter, PhD

Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Porter attended college in California and Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Arts in Development Psychopathology from Humboldt State University. While studying to earn her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Florida State University, she counseled clients of all ages in the contexts of individual, couples, group, and family sessions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Before joining Selah House, she worked at a Christian-based eating disorder treatment center in Florida where she developed her passion for empowering women and girls in recovery. Dr. Porter and her husband returned to Indiana to raise their children and be closer to their extended families. In her spare time, she and her family enjoy exploring state and national parks, canoeing, theme parks, planning family parties, and watching science fiction. At Selah House, she works with families to help them understand what their loved one is going through and what they can do to support her while she is here in treatment and after she goes home. She realizes that eating disorders can affect not just the individual seeking treatment but all those who care about her and that they have a valuable role in the healing process as well. “I love the warm, relaxed, authentic community we’ve created here at Selah House. I know that everyone I work with is genuinely passionate about what they do and cares about our clients. I’m so proud of the compassion and grace showed to these ladies who come to us in the midst of such a dark and vulnerable time in their lives. We want them to feel like they can be themselves, even on their messiest of days. Going to treatment (and taking a loved one to treatment) shows so much courage, and we don’t take that for granted.”

Jessica Ward, MS, RD, CEDRD-S

Jessica Ward graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and earned a Master of Science in Wellness Management from Ball State University. With over 15 years of experience at Selah House as a dietitian and leader, she has presented to numerous professional audiences and taught a course on eating disorders at Anderson University for several years.

Jessica is an active member of the Eating Disorders Task Force of Indiana, the Indiana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians, and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. Her passion for her profession and clients is evident in every interaction.

Monica Coffey

While completing her Bachelor of Science degree at Ball State University in Nutrition and Dietetics, Monica worked at Selah House as a Dietary Care Specialist. Monica returned to Ball State to complete her dietetic internship and Master of Arts degree in Dietetics. After working in the acute care and community nutrition setting, Monica was blessed to return to Selah House as a Registered Dietitian. Monica has a passion for supporting and empowering her clients who are battling an eating disorder to find freedom.

Jamie Dewig

Jamie Dewig is a Dietitian at Selah House and a PhD student in Nutrition and Dietetics at Indiana University. She recently earned an MBA from Butler University and holds certifications as a Mindfulness Behavioral Change Specialist, CPT, and RYT. Jamie also holds undergraduate degrees in Public Health Dietetics from Indiana University and Biological Biomedical Sciences from Vincennes University.

She has served as a Clinical Dietitian with Ascension Saint Vincent and Touchpoint, gaining experience across diverse clinical settings. Outside of her professional and academic work, Jamie loves animals, nature, and activities that support a balanced life. She practices mindful eating, powerlifting, and maintains a regular yoga practice.

Jamie’s purpose is driven by her passion for improving the lives of others and bringing light to the world around her each day.

Lizzie Woerner

Lizzie graduated from DePauw University with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology in 2016. She went on to complete a coordinated Master’s program for dietetics at Indiana State University and graduated in 2019. Lizzie has a background in group fitness and food service management where she served as the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services for Brownsburg Community Schools. Lizzie was drawn to 1-1 nutrition counseling and has been working in the field of eating disorders since 2021. One of Lizzie’s greatest joys is helping clients find food freedom and experience a flexible and joyful relationship to food.

Molly Temple MS, RDN, LDN

Molly was born and raised in Mississippi and earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition from The University of Southern Mississippi. She recently moved to Indiana to begin her career in eating disorder treatment, drawn to the opportunity to work in a high-level inpatient and residential setting.

Molly is passionate about the eating disorder population, the power of a multidisciplinary team, and the interconnectedness of the body in the healing process. Outside of work, Molly enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her husband, celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and planning trips or hosting family and friends. Molly joined the team in August 2025 and is excited to be part of this meaningful work.

Jordan Koellner, MS, RD, LD, CEDS

She completed her undergraduate degree at Ashland University in Ashland OH, and completed her Master’s degree through Ohio University’s Combined Master’s of Science and Dietetic Internship program in Athens OH. She has dedicated her career to the field of eating disorders and has experience in treating individuals with eating disorders at all levels of care. Jordan is currently working as a dietitian treating clients with eating disorders at the inpatient, residential, PHP, and outpatient levels of care.  Outside of work, Jordan enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, knitting, spending quality time with friends, and ensuring that her dog lives the best life possible.

Lizbeth Whiteside

Lizbeth Whiteside, RD, is a registered dietitian from a small town in Indiana with one year of clinical experience. She previously worked as a contract dietitian at a long-term care and rehabilitation facility in Wisconsin. Lizbeth earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and her Master of Science, along with completing her dietetic internship, at Ball State University.

During her internship at Selah House, Lizbeth developed a strong interest in eating disorder recovery. After moving back from Wisconsin, she decided to return to Selah House to gain further experience in the field.

Outside of work, Lizbeth enjoys spending time with friends and family, baking, reading, and visiting state and national parks.

Jennie Griswold, RD

Jennie earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics/Nutrition, Fitness, and Health from Purdue University and completed her dietetic internship at Texas A&M University before becoming a Registered Dietitian. She is passionate about helping individuals find food freedom and embrace body neutrality by challenging diet culture and using an intuitive eating approach. Jennie understands that eating disorder recovery is not linear and provides compassionate, individualized care that prioritizes client autonomy and sustainable healing.

Outside of work, Jennie enjoys spending time with her husband and four daughters exploring the North Indianapolis area. She also enjoys reading, creating art, spending time in nature, and appreciating the quiet beauty of Indiana, where she has lived most of her life.

Patrice Adams

Patrice Adams has joined the phenomenal Selah House clinical team in December 2020 as a Family Therapist. Patrice studied and completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Central State University in Psychology. She then completed her Master’s Degree at Christian Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Art in Family and Marriage Therapy.

At Selah House, her focus will be Family Therapy for both Adolescent and Adult populations. She was drawn to the treatment here at Selah House due to utilizing the use of Art Therapy in connection with the client’s Spirituality.

Growing up, Patrice observed her parents working within the capacity to help and serve others. Her father served as a Pastor while her mother was a social worker. She grew into the lifestyle to help others grow. She strives for her role her at Selah House to help move with the clients during those difficult obstacles and walk into freedom.

When not at Selah House, Patrice enjoys her time being a mom and spending time with her family.
She enjoys completing DIY projects and renovating.

Kadee Kirkpatrick, MSW, LCSW

Kadee is a therapist who offers warmth, empathy, insight, and practical strategies for each of her clients. She has a passion for helping those who are trying to find peace in their relationship with food and build a kinder relationship with their body. She is able to help individuals grow in anxiety management, assertive communication, and self-compassion. Kadee is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and offers this as an optional intervention to reduce the emotional impact of past trauma and current negative core beliefs. She welcomes and affirms members of the LGBTQ+ community. Kadee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University. She has more than 15 years of experience working in inpatient, residential, and outpatient treatment for people healing from eating disorders. She has worked as a therapist at Selah House for more than 9 years. Kadee loves time with her family, Irish dancing, reading, and hiking.

Erica Brown

Lead Therapist

Alicia Burress, MSW, LCSW

Alicia Burress is a licensed clinical social worker in Indiana, where she serves as the clinical development lead and lead therapist at Selah House. Alicia earned her BSW and MSW from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, where she has worked as a therapist for 15 years. The beginning of her career was spent working with the veteran and military populations through the Indiana Army National Guard. Since 2018, however, Alicia has been dedicated to her work at Selah House, where she has primarily served adolescent clients and their families in the treatment of eating disorders. In her role as Clinical Development Lead at Selah House, Alicia is responsible for providing clinical skill development, supervision, and support for the clinical staff conducting specialized eating disorder treatment in the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization programs. Additionally, Alicia co-facilitates equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions at Selah with tenured Equine Specialist Marcie Schott. She loves using a variety of therapeutic modalities in her work at Selah and feels that therapy is truly an art form.

Furthermore, she believes having various tools to choose from and utilize as a clinician is essential.  In addition to clinical work, she is passionate about advocating and bringing awareness to the unique challenges that those with eating disorders face. Alicia has called Indiana home for much of her life, and when she’s not working, you can find her on her family’s farm with her three boys.

Emily Auten

I was born and raised in Solsberry, Indiana, and later moved to Evansville, IN. I received my bachelor’s degree and master’s in social work from the University of Southern Indiana. I began working in a community-based outpatient office with children & teens who experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression.

I have experience leading DBT and empowerment groups and anxiety groups for teens. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy modalities, trauma-focused approaches, and dialectical-behavioral modalities. I have experience working as a home-based, school-based, and outpatient therapist.

Outside of work, I enjoy being outside playing frisbee with my dog Annie and leading youth group with my husband at church.

Jordan Hensley, M.A., LMHC-A

Jordan grew up in a military family, moving frequently throughout her childhood until her family settled in Franklin, Indiana in 2014. She went on to earn both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Ball State University before joining our team as a Therapist. Jordan’s passion for eating disorder treatment and recovery was evident during her time as a Counseling Intern at Selah House in the 2024–2025 school year. She is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and expertise in this specialized field.

Katie Davidson, MSW, LSW, CTP

Katie joined Selah House as a full-time therapist in July 2024, after working as a part-time RCS for a few months. Before joining Selah House full-time, she worked for 2 ½ years at Josiah White’s, a residential facility for juveniles, as a therapist in the Recovery Services program. In 2017, Katie found her life headed in a different direction, realized she wanted to do more for others, and made the decision to go back to school and major in social work. In 2021, Katie earned her bachelor’s in social work from Huntington University in Huntington, IN and continued to earn her master’s in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN in 2022. In 1995, Katie earned an associate degree in business management from BYU-Idaho. Katie is also a certified trauma professional and is trained in EMDR. Katie supports the Selah House clinical team as a primary therapist for teen clients and a primary & family therapist for the adult clients.

Abigail Emerson

Abigail Emerson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Murray State University and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from Indiana University Indianapolis. During her internship at Selah House, she discovered a deep appreciation for the collaborative nature of residential and inpatient treatment and felt a strong pull to continue working in this environment. She integrates art therapy into her clinical work alongside modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Abigail has a particular interest in how art therapy can help clients reframe rigid or unhelpful thinking patterns and offer meaningful alternatives to verbal expression of thoughts and emotions. She values the individuality of each client’s story and finds joy in witnessing their unique journeys and how these experiences connect to the broader path of recovery.

In her free time, Abigail enjoys spending time with friends, reading, creating art, and being out in nature. Having lived in Indiana for most of her life, she appreciates the quiet beauty the state offers.

Primary PHP Therapist

Dabney Stark

After completing her bachelor’s degree at Hanover College and her master’s degree at Ball State University, Dabney decided to join our phenomenal team here at Selah House. Dabney joined our team in May of 2021 after completing her internship with Selah House. Dabney supports the Selah House clinical team as a Primary PHP Therapist for adult clients.

Through completing her internship at Selah, she quickly found a passion for supporting this clientele. She has always been drawn to helping others and found this field to be so special. Along the way she has realized how unspoken eating disorders are in the mental health field and it values being an advocate to spread awareness.

Within her role, Dabney supports the clients as they prepare for life in recovery. She works through relapse prevention planning, securing support systems, reclaiming the “healthy self”, needs and value exploration, body image work, and more. Her approach is largely through the lens of acceptance versus resistance, which is applied through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques. Dabney’s goal is for her clients to reclaim their freedom from their eating disorder and regain kindness, understanding, and compassion for themselves.

PHP Therapist

Todd R. Davis, MA, LMHC

Todd completed his undergraduate degree at Anderson University and went on to earn his graduate degree at Grace College with additional graduate work at Ball State University. His passion for helping others originated from growing up on the campus of a juvenile treatment facility near Wabash, IN where his father was the superintendent. It was this facility where he began his career. He has vast experience in the mental health field. Since 1994, he has worked with individuals, groups, and families at inpatient and residential treatment centers, and in a university setting as a counselor and a professor. Todd started at Selah House in 2007 and served as the family therapist for nine years. He then transitioned into a position as a PHP primary therapist, focusing solely on group work. Todd’s passion for truth, which embraces both the glory and joy of life as well as the depravity and messiness of life, has provided him with a compassion and a calling to walk with clients as they seek connection and community in the midst of their own stories. “I love to travel, hike, snowboard, and laugh with friends!”

Tamela Perry

After receiving her Associate’s Degree at Harrison College, Tammy was not sure where her career was planning on taking her. Tammy joined the Selah House Team nine years ago as a Dietary Care Specialist. During this time, finally felt she was working at a facility where her co-workers were like family. Within nine years, Tammy continued to grow with Selah House and moved up into our Food Service Manager position in 2022. She feels that this role will help her serve the wonderful souls that come through the Selah House doors. Utilizing her hospitable nature and working in the kitchen allowed her to be kind, helpful and spread love with delicious food.

Case Manager

Christi Maidlow

Christi is highly committed to providing quality service and personalized client care as Case Manager for Selah House. She strives in being a servant leader, demonstrating empathy and humility in her daily role. Christi’s strong desire for cultivating genuine relationships and connection allows her an honest voice while advocating and promoting recovery and wellness.

Prior to joining Selah in 2021, Christi served as a compassionate and dedicated professional impacting children, youth, and families. She worked in the education arena as a teacher, administrator, professor, and consultant, designing and pioneering Indiana’s first neurobehavioral alternative school for elementary-aged students. Christi journeyed with children and adolescents as a behavior therapist to support patients in researching their highest potential and living more harmonious, happier lives. As an ordained minister, Christi was a Family and Children’s Pastor, as well as a hospice chaplain at a children’s hospital and chaplain for a youth correctional facility.

Christi believes deeply in the power of love, in the message of Jesus, and the mission to bring people closer to Jesus. She passionately advocates for empowering women in their walk with Jesus, as well as serving the greater. Work she will, taking on emission at a time, regardless of the location – be it in a classroom, a church, or Selah House.

Renessa Johnson

Renessa graduated with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in 1997 from the Indiana Business College. When joining Selah House in 2011, she brought over 11 years of experience in health care administrative work. Renessa’s own recovery from an eating disorder has been a source of motivation to help others who are still struggling with the disease. As she encounters individuals and families across the country seeking help, she demonstrates compassion and warmth as they walk through the life changing decisions of entering treatment. “After experiencing a life of freedom, I want to help people that are still suffering to realize that life can be more than their eating disorder and that there is hope.”

Stefan leads Odyssey’s efforts in developing the alumni communities at each of their facilities. Stefan’s approach sustains treatment effectiveness by providing timely, systematic, and supportive engagement for all clients who have completed treatment. With extensive experience developing and directing robust alumni communities in the addiction and mental health fields, he focuses on engaging people within their specific recovery journeys and developing community partnerships with a belief that long-term recovery is an attainable life goal.
